Wiesbaden is the capital of the German state of Hesse and one of Europe's oldest spa towns — the name itself means "meadow baths." Fourteen of the city's original twenty-six hot springs still flow today, feeding thermal baths like the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme and Thermalbad Aukammtal.
